Photographic Approach:

2 - Standing and moving the device to achieve movement in the image.
Edit Approach:
1 - Early successful images were single shots the app landed on as I sorted and culled, using an iPad.
1 - Early successful images were single shots the app landed on as I sorted and culled, using an iPad.
2 - Next, while editing, I found these were live photos and using Apple Photos app I could choose the Key photo. (The photo where the action stops, completing the image.) These were the 2nd round of successful images, using an iPad or computer.
3 - As a long time composite artist, I then took this key photo knowledge a step further, creating 2-3 key photos and compositing them together in Photoshop, using the computer.
Kinetic Sweep
My series emerges from a dynamic engagement with the landscape, captured from land, car, and air. Employing a camera in motion, I orchestrate elements within the natural world to forge visuals that captivate and spark the viewer's imagination. My creative approach is not confined to a single methodology. I utilize both single-frame capture and composite techniques, allowing flexibility and innovation to animate within my work.
While technical prowess and explorative methods are essential, my artistic process evolves from the slightly representational to the profoundly abstract. This progression encourages viewers to engage with the art, deriving personal interpretations and emotional connections.
The intent of my work transcends mere depiction. Instead, it aims to unlock avenues of imagination and inquiry. The images I create might not immediately reveal a recognizable subject, yet they invite an immersive exploration. Viewers are drawn into a labyrinth of surface textures, depth, and intricate interplays of line and color. Here, they may not only construct personal meanings but also experience visceral responses that linger within the visual frame.
